A little about me…
I was born in Dover, Delaware.
My dad was in the Air Force so we moved around a lot when I was young.
I have ALWAYS loved school. My first school memory is Kindergarten in England.
My dad retired in Austin so I have been in Texas since 6th grade.
I graduated from Pflugerville High School.
I graduated from St. Edward's with a BA in History and Texas State University with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education.
My favorite book genres are history and historical fiction, variety of topics.
I have two daughters who are my pride and joy!
My oldest daughter Caitlin is 24 and graduated from BYU-Idaho April 2015. She is currently working on her teaching certification.
My youngest daughter Taylor graduated from DSHS in June, 2015. She is attending BYU Idaho majoring in exercise physiology & nutrition.
We have 3 "little boys" (dogs!): Chichiwobingbing, Kevin, and Duke.
We added 2 bunnies to our family this summer. "Bunny & Clyde" are two dwarf bunnies that keep us laughing and entertained daily.
I really love spending my days with children, watching them learn and grow. I often find I learn from them almost as much as they learn from me, especially with this tech savvy generation!
This is my 10th year at Walnut Springs. I spent 7 years in 3rd grade which I LOVED and this is my third year in 5th grade. I couldn't be happier :)
I am SO EXCITED about 5th grade this year: Leader In Me, Camp Champions, and all the other "cool" things we participate in and learn to prepare for Middle School.
